International sales taxation
Enable international sales and set up tax details to manage and monitor your tax obligations.
Enabling international sales
If you plan to sell your products internationally (outside the country where your business is registered), you first need to enable this option and then fill in your tax details. Here’s how:
- Go to Store -> Store settings in your main dashboard.
- Open the Invoicing & Taxes tab.
- Scroll down to the International sales section.
- Toggle on the option Enable international sales.

After doing so, we will ask you to choose our General tax category:
- Software as a Service
- Digital Books
- Self-Study Online Courses
- Instructor-Led Online Courses
- Digital Goods
- Professional Services
- Nontaxable Services
- Physical Goods
- None of the Above
Note: We will use this setting for more accurate tax calculation in certain jurisdictions.
Important: We will assign these settings to all products you create, but you can later override the general tax category in your checkout to adjust it for each product individually.
You can also enable or disable countries you sell to in order to better control your tax obligations.
Managing tax obligations
Registered jurisdictions

For more accurate monitoring of your international tax obligation, we encourage you to set up all jurisdictions, where your business is registered to sales tax (your home country and any countries where you registered after passing the thresholds). Here's how you can do it:
- Go to Registered jurisdictions section.
- Click + Add another jurisdiction.
- In the modal on your left, Select jurisdiction from the list
- Select tax ID's validity and expiration date by setting Valid from and Valid until.
- Provide your Tax ID.
- Click Save.

Country management
For international sales, there are several options that help you better manage your tax obligations. To manage your sales thresholds:
- Go to Store -> Store settings in your main dashboard.
- Open the Invoicing & Taxes tab.
- Make sure the option Enable international sales is active.
- Scroll down to the Countries where you sell section.

Disable countries with immediate tax obligation
This option will disable purchases from countries where you are required to pay taxes from the first transaction. Customers won't be able to select them on the countries list in the checkout.
To use this option, simply toggle it on.
Automatically disable countries when approaching threshold
Your sales to a certain country or jurisdiction will be automatically turned off when you get close to reaching the tax threshold. We will notify you via email when this happens.
Note: After reaching a threshold in a certain country or jurisdiction, you are immediately obliged to register to file and remit taxes.
Enable sales and monitor thresholds
You can also use the country and jurisdiction list to enable or disable sales to certain locations and monitor in real time what your current threshold level is. Simply choose a country from the list and toggle the Enable Sales option on or off.
You can also use a search bar to find a specific location.
