Payment failures occur for various reasons, often to prevent fraudulent transactions. The two main categories are:
1. Declines:
- Issuer bank rejections
- Blocked payments
- Invalid API calls
Declined payments usually come with a code from the issuer bank.
2. Blocked Payments:
- Preventative measures against potential fraud
- Detected by Stripe Radar or custom Radar rules
