Pricing models
Learn about predefined price types on Easycart, including one-time payments, subscriptions, and pay-what-you-want options.
In Easycart, you can choose from predefined price types. Within a single product, you can create multiple price variants, each with a different type. For example, one product can have a variant for selling an ebook for a specific amount as a one-time payment, while another variant allows purchasing the ebook along with a community subscription. This way, you offer customers choices, increasing the chances of sales and conversions!
Easycart offers several price types you can choose from when creating a price variant.
These include:
- One-time payment - You set a single, specific price that will be charged at purchase. Details here.
- Subscription - A recurring payment at a selected interval. You can define all its parameters, such as renewal frequency and price. You can also add a free trial period. Learn more here.
- Payment plan - Allows you to create installment payments as a subscription. Details here.
- Pay what you want - Allows the customer to choose the price they will pay for the product. More information here.
- Lead magnet - A product like a lead magnet offered for free. Learn more here.
In practice, selecting the price type at the beginning simplifies the configuration of that price in the checkout, as we display only the fields relevant to its setup.
Changing the price type after publishing the product may be limited. For example, you cannot change a one-time product to a subscription and vice versa. In such cases, you need to delete the incorrect price and add a new one.
