Collect testimonials

Now you're probably aware of how important it is to collect and utilize the full potential of customer testimonials. It's not just about displaying a beautifully curated wall of love—it's about significantly boosting your sales. Let's dive into this tutorial on how you can start collecting testimonials on autopilot using Easylove.

Creating a new wall of love

To begin collecting testimonials from your clients, first, you need to create your initial wall of love. This is essentially a page hosted by us, where you can display all your customer reviews. Here’s how to create one:

1. Navigate to the Testimonials section in the Easytools dashboard.
2. Click +New wall of love.
3. Name your project.
4. Click Create.

Now, let’s make your wall of love appealing by adding testimonials.

Adding testimonials to your wall of love

There are several ways to add testimonials:

• You can manually add testimonials.
• You can ask your customers to submit new testimonials.
• You can import existing testimonials from platforms like Google.

Adding testimonials manually

1. Click +Add first testimonial or +New if you have previously added some reviews.
2. Set up an avatar for the review by uploading a customer's photo.
3. Fill in all the information you want to display, such as Name, Company, and Rating.
4. If you have additional materials, like a video review, upload it in the Media section.
5. If you want the customer to confirm the review, click Ask for confirmation. We will automatically send a confirmation request to the provided email address.

When a new testimonial is created, you will see a notification in your Easylove dashboard. Please note, new reviews won’t appear on your wall of love until you accept them.

You can accept them individually, click Accept all testimonials, or do it during the publishing of your wall of love by clicking Yes, accept all new testimonials.

Requesting testimonials

We assist in asking your customers for reviews in three ways:

1. Hosting a personalized Ask for testimonials page that you can share anywhere
2. Sending review requests to the provided emails
3. Automatically collecting reviews from anyone that purchases your products

Creating your ask for testimonial page

1. Go to Submit testimonial form.
2. Upload your logo.
3. Type in the Title and Description to encourage your clients to share their thoughts.
4. Add your personal details and photo to build trust.
5. Click Save.

To copy the link to your Ask for Testimonial page:

1. Go to Share.
2. Click the icon to copy the link next to Ask for testimonial page.

You can also decide if you want to include an email field in your form and if it should be mandatory. If you wish, we can also notify you via email anytime someone submits a review or publish them automatically to your wall.

Automatically collect reviews from new customers

Thanks to seamless integration with Easycart, we can also automatically send review requests to anyone who makes a purchase in your cart. Here’s how to enable this:

1. Go to the Easytools dashboard.
2. Open the Store tab.
3. Go to Products and open the products for which you want to collect reviews.
4. In the top menu choose Add-ons ➔ Testimonials.
5. Select an existing wall of love or create a new one by clicking +Create a new wall.
6. Go to the Collecting testimonials section.
7. Choose Automatically collect testimonials.
8. Decide how much time after purchase we should wait before sending the review.
9. Click Save.

Importing testimonials from Google

If you've already been collecting reviews on Google, you can easily import them to display on your wall of love. You can choose which testimonials to showcase and filter them by rating. To learn how to import reviews from Google, click here.

Customizing your wall of love

Walls of love created with Easylove can be showcased as a separate page or embedded as a section on your site. In both cases, you'll want the testimonials to align seamlessly with your brand and website visuals. To help you customize and personalize your wall of love, we offer complete freedom in adjusting its colors and fonts. You can also use our predefined themes.

Additionally, we provide options for how your testimonials are displayed. You can choose both the wall type and the review details you want to showcase.

Displaying testimonials in your checkout

Apart from automatically sending a review request after someone makes a purchase, you can also display testimonials in your checkout. By doing so, you maximize your chances for higher conversions as opinions of others are currently one of the most powerful decision-making factors. Advanced Settings

If you aim for more advanced options or plan to create some automations, we can send all data from Easylove to your webhook - e.g., when someone creates or confirms a review. You can then use this data to create various scenarios, e.g., sending a Slack notification to a team member when a new review is published. Here’s how:

1. Go to Submit testimonial form.
2. Go to Webhook address section.
3. Paste the address of your webhook (you can generate it using Make or Zapier).
4. Click Save.

Showcase and export testimonials

Last but not least, it's time to add a testimonials section to your website. You can easily do this by embedding your wall of love—no special skills required. Simply copy and paste a short piece of code. For detailed instructions, click here.

You might also want to use your testimonials for marketing purposes—such as publishing them on social media as a post or reel.
