Stripe processes your customer’s payment and charges a fee for each successful transaction. This fee is separate from Easytools fees.
The most important rule
Stripe fees depend first on the country where your Stripe account is registered. The customer’s location, card type, payment method, and currency can then change the final fee.
There is no single worldwide Stripe rate and no single rate for all European countries. The examples below use Stripe’s standard pricing for the United States, the United Kingdom, and selected euro-area countries. We checked them on 27 August 2026.
United States accounts
For a Stripe account registered in the United States:
- US card: 2.9% + $0.30
- International card: 4.4% + $0.30 in total, including the 1.5% international-card surcharge
- Currency conversion: another 1% if conversion is required
- ACH Direct Debit: 0.8%, capped at $5.00
Example for a $100 sale
- The percentage part is 2.9% of $100, which is $2.90.
- Stripe adds the fixed $0.30 fee.
- The total Stripe fee is $3.20.
- $96.80 remains in your Stripe balance before the Easytools fee, taxes, and other possible costs.
United Kingdom accounts
For a Stripe account registered in the United Kingdom and settled in GBP:
- Standard UK card: 1.5% + 20p
- Premium UK card: 2.8% + 20p
- European Economic Area card: 2.5% + 20p
- Other international card: 3.15% + 20p
- Currency conversion: another 2% if conversion is required
For a £100 sale paid with a standard UK card, the Stripe fee is £1.70 and £98.30 remains before other costs.
European accounts
Stripe prices European accounts by country. Under the current standard pricing for accounts registered in Spain, France, or Germany and settled in EUR:
- Standard European Economic Area card: 1.5% + €0.25
- Premium European Economic Area card: 2.8% + €0.25
- UK card: 2.5% + €0.25
- Other international card: 3.15% + €0.25
- Currency conversion: another 2% if conversion is required
For a €100 sale paid with a standard European Economic Area card, the Stripe fee is €1.75 and €98.25 remains before other costs.
These European examples do not cover every country. Always open the Stripe pricing page for the country where your account is registered.
Who pays the Stripe fee?
The customer normally pays the price shown at checkout. Stripe deducts its fee from the amount that reaches you as the seller. The customer does not see a separate “Stripe fee” unless you include payment processing costs in your product price yourself.
The Stripe fee and the Easytools fee are separate. Your Easytools fee depends on your plan and is not included in the rates above.
When can the cost be higher?
Extra costs may apply when:
- a customer uses an international card or currency conversion is required,
- you use optional Stripe products,
- you request an Instant Payout,
- a customer disputes a payment.
These charges also depend on the account country:
- United States: a received dispute costs $15 and a manual response costs another $15. Instant Payouts cost 1.5%, with a minimum fee of $0.50.
- United Kingdom: a received dispute costs £20 and a manual response costs another £20. Instant Payouts cost 1%, with a minimum fee of 40p.
- Spain, France, and Germany: a received dispute costs €20 and a manual response costs another €20. Instant Payouts cost 1%, with a minimum fee of €0.50.
Stripe returns the manual-response fee if you win the dispute. It does not return it if you lose.
